Built From Scratch: Complete Tech Infrastructure for a Brand-New Medical Practice
Tutela Plastic Surgery
Structured Cabling · Security Cameras · Alarm Systems · A/V Systems
PAX Security partnered with Stone Creek Construction to deliver a complete technology build-out for a brand-new plastic surgery practice -- structured cabling, Ubiquiti networking, surveillance, alarm, and a multi-zone audio/visual system, all installed to commercial standards from the ground up.

The Challenge
What We Were Brought In To Solve
Tutela Plastic Surgery was moving into a completely new space with no existing infrastructure of any kind. Stone Creek Construction, the general contractor on the build-out, recognized early that the client needed a specialized technology partner -- not just an electrician. There was no network, no cabling, no security system, and no A/V in place. PAX Security was brought in to consult directly with the practice owner, understand exactly what a modern medical office requires, and deliver a turnkey solution that would support both day-to-day operations and a premium patient experience.
The PAX Solution
How We Delivered
PAX Security sat down with the practice owner before a single wire was pulled to map out every requirement -- from workstation drops and access point placement to camera coverage and speaker zones. We then ran 47 CAT6 network drops throughout the space and built an 18U structured cabling rack with Ubiquiti UniFi networking: a Dream Machine Pro SE, 24-port L3 switch, and three WiFi 7 access points for full, reliable coverage. For security, we installed four IP cameras (two dome, two wide-angle outdoor Vivotek) backed by a dedicated DW Spectrum NVR, plus a Qolsys IQ Panel 4 alarm system with DSC PowerG wireless sensors. To round out the patient environment, we designed and installed an 11-speaker in-ceiling audio system across five zones with Russound streaming amplifiers, an HDMI matrix extender, a BrightSign/YODECK digital display player, and TV mounting throughout.

Who Actually Has Access to Your Building Right Now?
Not who should have access -- who does. Most buildings cannot answer that question cleanly. Here is what a real access audit looks like and why the gaps are almost always hiding in plain sight.
The Real Cost of a Security System Beyond the Installation Quote
The installation quote is one number. The actual cost of owning a security system is several others. Most building owners learn this after they sign -- here is how to see it coming.
What "Monitored Alarm" Actually Means (and What It Doesn't)
Monitoring is one of those terms that sounds definitive but means very different things depending on the company, the plan, and how your system is set up. Here is what you are actually paying for.
